In the longest darkest night, we attended the 28th Annual Kensington Market Winter Solstice Parade. There were street performers, people with costumes and lights everywhere. After the parade there was this amazing fire show at Alexandra Park. Some people were carrying lights, candles or fairy lights, some were in make up and costumes. It was so festive. We gathered around the fire to celebrate the return to warmth and light by lighting a huge fire. Well, I can’t say it was getting any warmer. Actually, we were dancing and having fun while the fire faded away, it started to snow. This morning we woke up to a white day. Still, Toronto is beautiful in white.
I leave you with the photos from Kensington Market Winter Solstice Parade. Also, you can check our Youtube account for the Winter Solstice videos.
